Description

Born without color 
My canvas plain and bare
Nothing there to define me
Nothing that made me stand out and be rare

Factory manufactured
All like the rest
But to stand out from the flock
Became my quest

So I added some color
A red and a blue 
An orange, a yellow, a green, a purple
Just every kind of hue

I painted my canvas
Until I was satisfied 
I was proud of the outcome
I felt no more need that it should be modified 

It was beautiful 
To me
And it was the picture 
I wanted everyone to see

It was so beautiful...
So why couldn't you see it too?
You were the one person I wanted to adore it
For...I made this picture for you...

But if it does not please you
I can change it
Strip it of all it's meaning
Everything you hate about I will omit
  
Drain every color 
Until it's soulless and white
Revert it back into the thing 
That used to bring you such delight

I'll go back to having no color...
I'll just be plain and bare..
And that's all that will define me
Although it is unfair...
